shake your tail feather

So it’s been a while since I’ve touched this blog.  I blame school for my lack of effort in keeping this  alive.  There hasn’t been much going on in my life other than school, playing frisbee, running, and of course excessive drinking.  Again, I blame school.  While working, I was stressing on a different level, but now it’s combined with multiple other personal factors.  Anyhow 2014 is here and I am hoping it will be much better than 2013, or 2012, or 2011, or 2010 for that matter. I am determined to participate in a 6 races this year — 1 sprint triathlon, 2 half marathons and 3 marathons.  Please feel free to join me as I could definitely use the motivation to train properly this time around.  Of course, I will blog as much as possible.  I have gone quite bonkers last year with a lot of shopping which results in a number of wonderful pieces I am excited to share with you.  Anyway, let’s get it started.

For my girl friend’s birthday, I decided to work my outfit around this tutu inspired skirt.  The cutie patootie piece was such a great bargain from Aritzia.  I paired it up with a loose knitted sweater to keep warm at night and to be more comfortable.  But of course, feel free to rock a slimming tank to spice it up.

To make it pop, I went with black fish net shoes, which are old, and chunky chain neckpiece.  The silver, gold, and black add abstract and sharpness to this feminine outfit.  It is a cross between ballerina and punk rock girl.
I am head over heels in love with this clutch.  It is absolutely one of a kind with a lot of originality and uniqueness.  Whoever thought I would ever be attracted to snake skin print?!!  Anyway, it is snake imprint, not authentic! No snakes were killed in the making of this clutch hahaha.
Hope you enjoyed this entry. Until next time. Adios!

Ok so we had a late summer. We should be happy that it’s mid September and the weather is still looking gorgeous.  The mornings are a bit cool but it does heat up throughout the day.  Most people find it annoying because they don’t know what they should leave the house in.  I love the in between phase of summer to fall.  I can wear a sweater to keep warm, yet a light skirt to feel the breeze on my skin.
Fall isn’t all about the dark tones.  I enjoy having colors in my closet, which is perfect weapon to give your outfit the punch it needs.  I chose this pleated soft pink colored skirt  because it’s flirty, feminine, and it stands out.  Not to also mention it enhances the blue of my sweater.
These booties are about 2 year old.  They are versatile and go with just almost everything in my closet.  They are definitely comfortable which is a big bonus.  Pick yourself up a similar pair and you won’t regret it.
